Qing (Celine)

Qing, principal instructor at The Practice Space (TPS), started her yoga journey in Shanghai where she learned the benefits of a dedicated practice. Today, over a decade later, her practice has expanded to include resistance training, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and other various forms of cross-training workouts. Qing’s practice has led to dramatic strength and flexibility improvements over the years. Other positives include reduced stress, increased mental fortitude, and decreased weight gain. The benefits of her dedicated practice has prompted her to take multiple 200 hour teacher training sessions with the intention of passing these benefits on to you! Qing’s dream is to create a yoga, fitness, and lifestyle entity to help motivate and encourage people to get active. No matter what your skill-level is; TPS is here to help you find your practice!
Qing teaches Power Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, HIIT, Yin, and resistance training. She teaches class in both English and Mandarin Chinese languages! Qing is also happy to share dietary, health, and other lifestyle solutions with you!

Every time I practice yoga, and every time I teach yoga, I learn something new. The 8-Limbed path offers many avenues to explore physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and I incorporate as many of those aspects in every class I teach. Yoga for me is a chance to explore, to move, to learn, to grow. For over 5 years, I have taught primarily a power vinyasa style of yoga, matching breath to movement to cultivate focus and mindful intention. I also teach Yoga Sculpt and mindful meditation. In 2015 I completed my 200-hour Training at CorePower Yoga, and followed that up with additional power vinyasa training and my Yoga Sculpt certification from CorePower in 2019. I also earned a certificate in Mindful Resilience from the Veteran's Yoga Project in 2018, and am in the process of securing my 300-Hour Teacher Training certificate. I believe in the power of yoga to build connections, to build community and to significantly enhance not only our physical health, but also our mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. I look forward to seeing you on your mat in The Practice Space so we can flow and grow together.

Isabella Carvajal has been a dedicated yoga student since the age of 17, when she first started practicing Baptiste yoga in North Texas. Isabella completed her first 200-hour teacher training in the Baptiste power yoga system. She then moved to Washington where she completed her second 200-hour Bikram and Power yoga teacher training. During this time, Isabella began working as an ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum. She brought yoga into her workplace and implemented yoga into all of her clients’ programs. She saw how this practice improved kid’s emotional regulation and how that positively affected other areas of their lives. Isabella decided to dive deeper into that and completed a kids yoga training through YogaCalm which is geared to build resilience in children. Additionally, she most recently completed a 200-hour in Ashtanga/Rocket Yoga at the Yoga with Carson Academy.
Isabella’s yoga practice holds her accountable for how she’s showing up in her life and where she’s staying in her comfort zone. She wants her students to experience the same. With her experience in different yoga systems, Isabella strives to create a safe and empowering environment that honors the roots of yoga while providing a safe place to be true with yourself and grow.

My Yoga journey began when I was working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and leading classes in the mid 90’s. I started to feel a nudge to figure out what yoga was so I began a home practice that continues today. It has been a gift. Since then, I’ve completed teacher training and attended advanced yoga studies. My understanding of what yoga was then and what it is now has changed quite a bit.
As your instructor I am committed to your wellness. My intention is to be a patient, articulate and enthusiastic yoga instructor with an emphasis on creating trusting student relationships. My goal is to increase function and fitness while encouraging individuals, regardless of their fitness level, to achieve and maintain their wellness goals.

With his background as a Physical Therapist, Jeff brings a unique perspective to his yoga classes. Drawing from graduate study, numerous yoga teacher trainings, and considerable experience in anatomy, human movement, and rehabilitation, he sequences his classes in a thoughtful and deliberate manner, designed for the modern yogi to learn and grow within our own bodies. If his study of movement over the last twenty years has taught him anything, it is that no two bodies are the same, and therefore no two yogis’ asana practice will be the same.
He believes that a yoga practice is designed to take us from the place we are currently to a better place, and whether that comes in the form of a stronger body, steadier breath, a more focused mind, Jeff’s strives to make his classes both challenging and informative to all levels of practitioners, not to mention fun! He feels that there is no right, nor wrong yoga, rather the yoga our bodies are capable of on that particular day, at that particular time. From his own personal practice, he understands that some days we might push harder, while other days we may need to back off. Sometimes less is more. The goal is to find that balance on the mat so that we can utilize those skills off the mat!
Since transitioning from a more traditional Physical Therapy practice to teach a more personalized movement practice, Jeff has accumulated over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training. He is E-RYT 200 and RYT-500 certified, as well as a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). Jeff completed his 500 advanced vinyasa training with Jason Crandall. He also completed two separate 200 hour trainings in both Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga training. He also did a 100 study of Yin, Nidra, and Kriya yoga with Ali Valdez, as well as a separate Yin training with Bernie Clarke. Outside of formal teacher trainings, Jeff has participated in numerous hours of additional coursework in areas ranging from inversions, arm balances, meditation, and pranayama, as well as dabbling in other styles of movement. In addition, Jeff holds his Doctorate in Physical Therapy with over 15 years of practical experience in multiple treatment approaches to movement.

Breath has always been a gateway for me. It is where my yoga path began and what I still follow today. My interest is in guiding others into the subtle body. Helping you to connect to your greatest untapped resource, your breath.
This journey led me to Sri Lanka where I studied pranayama, yin, and vinyasa. It was on this 6 week journey that I officially became a certified 200hr YTT teacher under the direction of Mathieu Boldron. I begin teaching Yin immediately as I continued my education into becoming a breath coach through YogaBody with Lucus Rockwood.
Breath keeps me centered, and I have found a passion for helping others get comfortable in the sometimes not-so-comfortable world of self-discovery and reflection you find through your breath.
